ChambersApps ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LiftTogether mobile application. This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We use collected data solely to:
Contacts access is optional and only requested when you tap "Find friends from contacts". Phone numbers from your contacts are hashed on your device and compared with the hashed numbers of LiftTogether users to find friends. Your contacts are never uploaded or stored. If you invite someone by phone number, a hashed copy of that number is kept for up to 30 days so you're connected automatically when they join.
If you allow it, LiftTogether reads your workouts and step counts from Apple Health to log workouts and complete group tasks. Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sold. It is shared only with the AI coach, as described below, and only if you turn the coach on.
The AI coach is optional. Nothing is sent until you agree on the coach setup screen. Once you do, each time you ask the coach something, LiftTogether sends the following to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to generate a reply:
The photos and videos you post, your phone number, contacts and friends' data are never sent. Progress photos are sent only when you ask for coach notes on them, as described under Progress Photos. Anthropic processes what we send only to provide coach replies, food estimates and photo notes and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models. Replies are saved to your account so you can read them again. You can delete your coach profile and replies at any time in Settings → AI coach → Delete coach data.
Your food log is stored in your account and only you can see it. Friends and groups never see it.
You can edit or delete any food entry at any time.
Progress photos are optional and only for adults: you confirm you're 18 or older before the feature turns on. Your progress photos are stored privately in your account and only you can see them. They are never posted or shown to friends or groups, and we don't use them for anything other than showing them to you and, if you ask, the coach notes described below.
Photos are sent to the AI only when you tap "Get coach notes" on a monthly update, and only if you've turned on the AI coach. Then the photos from the two check-ins being compared, their dates and body weights, and that month's training numbers (workouts, new personal bests, body-weight change and sets per muscle) are sent to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to write notes on what has changed. The notes are saved to your account.
You can delete any check-in at any time, which deletes its photos.
Coach mode subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive the subscription's status so we can turn coach mode on or off, but we never see or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
We do not use personal data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
We share data only with these services:
User data is securely stored using Firebase services provided by Google. Progress photos are kept in Firebase Storage, where only your account can open them. Reasonable safeguards are implemented to protect user information.
You can delete any food entry or progress check-in in the app at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data, including your food log and progress photos, at any time in the app (You → Settings → Delete account), or by contacting us. You can delete your AI coach data separately in Settings → AI coach.
LiftTogether is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Progress photos are only available to users who confirm they are 18 or older.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
